Vintage SELRO Style Antiqued Gold Clown Face Earrings with Faux Turquoise | Rare and Collectible 1950s Jewelry | Free Gift Box and Tag
These beautiful, eye-catching, and rare vintage Selro style clip-on earrings feature three faux turquoise stones radiating from a central white pearl and interspersed with three gold-toned clowns in cone-shaped hats that are reminiscent of the Pierrot character of French pantomime. In turn, these elements are separated by sequences of small faux pearls and faux rubies.
The earrings have a good weight to them, and the metal has an antiqued gold-tone finish, which adds extra depth to the other elements. In excellent vintage condition, the only minor issue is that one faux ruby crystal has been replaced by a clear crystal — however, this is almost unnoticeable. (You can see this in the main photo of the earring at the right, at about the 1 o,clock position.)
