Vintage Kitsch! Late 1960s Iridescent JEMA HOLLAND Siamese Cat Figurine | Totally Captivating | 37.5 cm (~15") High | Exceptional Condition
This wide-eyed, pink-lipped, tall and slender, iridescent lusterware Siamese kitty is just purrfect! Made in the late 1960s to early 70s by Jellis Mager, aka JEMA, in Holland, these long-necked, classic mid-century cats were a particular hit in the UK and Australia.
Produced in three sizes, this is the middle-sized one, standing at 38 cm, or around 15".
Highly collectible, it,s extremely hard to find examples of the two larger sizes - let alone one in such exceptional condition.
This kitty has remained totally intact, with no repairs, no chips (not even to the delicate ears), no crazing, and no fading. This piece was obtained from a substantial collector of figurines and would have been kept in a glass display cabinet. Now it,s time for this kitty to find a new loving home...
