Beautifully-Shaped VINTAGE iittala Glass Bowl or Ice Bucket | Delicate Relief Pattern of Fern-Like Leaves Flowers | Excellent Condition
This delightful clear glass bowl or ice bucket from iittala of Finland still has just the smallest remnant of its original sticker.
The exterior has a detailed relief pattern of groups of fine, fern-like leaves that sweep upwards and inwards to form peaks.
While we have not been able to find this pattern in any shape amongst iittala items listed online, the sensual shape is similar to that of a bowl in the ,Flora, series designed by Oiva Toikka in 1966 for Nuutajärvi, and later reissued by iittala after they acquired that glass producer.
It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloring. However, as is to be expected with an item of this age, there are some surface marks to the base, as well as a couple of small scratches (see image #8).
The bowl stands 10 cm (~4") tall and is 19.5 cm (~7.6") in diameter and is in excellent vintage condition.
