Four-Place, 10-Piece Rare, Distinctive, and Highly Collectible 1950’s RÖRSTRAND Kadett Hand Painted Coffee Service Designed by Hertha Bengtsson
This stunning hand painted Rörstrand Kadett coffee service was designed by Hertha Bengtsson for Rörstrand, Sweden in the 1950s. The makers’ mark is clearly stamped on the base and this classic design will display well in any mid-century or modern interior.
From a design perspective, stripes suddenly blossomed in the mid-fifties and Rörstrand rode the stripy crest of popularity with this design, which comes in raspberry (red) — this one — mustard (yellow) and dark jeans blue (blue).
As with many ceramics from that period, this set was hand painted, so every Rörstrand Kadett piece is unique with the occasional wobble in a line! This set is in exceptional condition, with no chips, cracks, fleabites, discolouration, or crazing.
