Vintage Kosta BODA 'Rhapsody' Glass Bowl Designed by Kjell Engman
Designed in the 1970s, this vintage Kosta Boda glass bowl features Swedish folklore and cultural scenes in a relief pattern.
The interior of the bowl is smooth, while the rim is irregular and undulating. The scenes are presented in four panels separated by traditional Swedish folk art 'kurbits' (Kurbitsmålning) style decorations built around floral motifs.
The four scenes are: * Two couples dancing under a maypole * Nils Holgersson and his goose, Morten, from 'The Wonderful Adventures of Nils' * A reindeer standing outside a Sámi hut * The Stockholm City Hall
