1962 SARAH COVENTRY ,Galaxy, Gold-Tone Pin or Pendant with Faux Pearls and Multi-Colored Stones and AB crystals | Book Piece | Free Gift Box
Stunning, large, and a masterpiece in design, this is a Sarah Coventry classic!
Advertised in McCall,s magazine in 1962, the ,Galaxy, brooch/pendant features four multi-colored ceramic stones tipped with sparkling aurora borealis (AB) crystals, that sit amidst four gold-colored open-work metal quadrants that are decorated with a central faux pearl and a myriad of AB stones, and that lead the eye to a large raised faux pearl at the center of the brooch/pendant.
The bright and shiny gold-plated back includes a secure pin as well as a hook so that the piece can be attached to a chain and worn as a pendant. Elegant, eye-catching, and versatile, it will make a great addition to any jewelry collection.
The Galaxy brooch pin is shown on page 46 of ,Sarah Coventry Jewelry, by Monica and Patricia Clements, and also on page 51 of ,Identifying Sarah Coventry Jewelry, by Sandra Sturdivant and Shirley Crabtree.
