Heavy & Impressive! 1960s SVEN PALQVIST for ORREFORS Hand-Blown Bubble Glass Bowl | Signed and Numbered | Some Surface Scuffing to the Base
This is a hard-to-find Sven Palmqist for Orrefors hand-blown glass bowl with a bubble relief or semisphere pattern.
PLEASE NOTE: Although it is in good vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or flea bites, there is some scuffing on the high points of the bubbles on the base, as well as a couple of small scuff marks in the middle of the bowl. Although only detectable on close examination, we have priced this beautiful piece at a 50% discount to what it would be in pristine condition.
The bowl was designed by the renowned Swedish glass artist Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors Glassworks in the ’60s.
Etched on the underside of the bowl is: Orrefors (maker) P (designer) 4046-821 (design/production number). It measures 5cm (~2") high, is 13 cm in diameter, and weighs just over 1,000g.
