This large and stunning MCP Mingay Pottery lustreware mantlepiece vase is an excellent example of Australian post-war decorative pottery. It is not just a beautiful (and useful) home décor item, but also a piece of social history. 

The Modern Ceramic Products (MCP) company was founded in the 1940s by Tom and Jean Mingay, who had previously worked in the pottery industry in England. The company produced a range of high-quality ceramic products, including vases, bowls, and figurines.

This double-handled example of MCP Mingay pottery is in exceptional condition with only very minor signs of wear.
