Vintage 1930s BUGBEE NILES (B.N.) Silver-Tone Rhinestone Link Bracelet & Screw Back Earring Set | Beautiful Bridal Set | Excellent Condition
This beautiful rhinestone flower bracelet and screw-back earring set is crafted in a highly polished, lightweight, silver-tone metal that,s punctuated with clear rhinestones.
The bracelet comprises leaf-shaped links with small rhinestone-centered flowers, while a large silver rose creates a delightful focal point. The screw-back earrings feature a large rose (with a clear rhinestone center) that sits atop five, pointed, leaves.
Throughout, the metal has a shiny, smooth satin finish, and although very light it is also strong, suggesting it could be some sort of aluminum alloy.
The earrings are marked B. N. (for Bugbee & Nile), and while the bracelet is unmarked, they are clearly a set and there are other examples of the unmarked bracelet elsewhere on the Internet, which are also attributed to Bugbee & Niles.
Interestingly, the spring ring clasp is stamped ,Germany,, which dates the bracelet,s manufacture prior to WWII. The Germans were renowned for the use of aluminum in jewelry making, so perhaps B&N outsourced the production of this type of jewelry to a German manufacturer.
This is a delightful set and would make add a stunning touch to a bridal gown — perhaps teamed with a rhinestone necklace or choker.
