Stunning & Rare! 1950s SUSIE COOPER Set | Tall, Slender Coffee Pot, Six Cups and Saucers, Creamer, and Sugar Bowl | Raised Polka Dot Design
This rare and highly collectible coffee set was produced in England by Susie Cooper China during the early 1950s. It comprises a tall, slender coffee pot, six bone china coffee cups with saucers as well as a creamer and sugar bowl.
The white exterior of the coffee pot, cups, sugar bowl, and creamer is decorated with slightly raised, hand-enameled, dots, while the interior of each piece is baby blue.
The saucers are baby blue with a white centre, white raised dots, and a white rim.
ABOUT SUSIE COOPER Susie Cooper was one of England’s most prolific and successful ceramic designers and her career spanned many years from the 1920s to the 1980s. Susie worked for many other pottery firms over the years and established Susie Cooper China in. In 1966, Wedgwood acquired Susie Cooper China Ltd, however, she continued to produce her own designs for them. She received an OBE in 1979 for her contribution to the arts. Suzie retired at the age of 80 and passed away in 1995 on the Isle of Man.
