Mid-Century-Modern FINEL ARABIA Red Enamel Coffee Percolator | Made in Finland | Designed by Antti Nurmesniemi in 1957 | Brilliant Condition
Wow! This is mid-century-modern Scandinavian style at its best, which is why this Finel Arabia coffee percolator is so very sought-after and collectible. Better still, you'll rarely find one in better condition.
it's extremely hard to find an example of this iconic retro kitchen accessory such as this one, which has no chips to the enamel, or damage to the inside base.
However, through decades of use, the white enamel interior has darkened from decades of use (although no burn marks or other issues), while there are signs of clouding/lime-scale build-up on the lid's clear plastic visor. Apart from these minor issues, the condition is outstanding. (Please view all photos carefully and read the description and condition report.)
The percolator is distinguished by its bright-red enamel exterior and has a usable capacity of 1.4 litres, or about 8 to 10 cups. It was designed by Antti Nurmesniemi in 1957 for Finel, the enamelware division of Wärtsilä, the parent company of Arabia Finland.
The black handle is made from Bakelite, and the pot is stamped "FINEL Made in Finland, on the underside. It also bears an enamel mark on the inside of the lid. This exceptionally well-presented Finel coffee pot will add a touch of vibrant color to your kitchen, and let you start each day with the invigorating pleasure of a well-brewed cup of joe!
